Phlebotomy Training
Up till now it is clear that Phlebotomy is a process of taking out blood and examining it for several different purposes. However, there is a full course that you need to undertake before you can professionally start to practice. While studying in this course there will be five main areas that will be kept in focus throughout. These areas of focus include the following

Needle Technique
The whole purpose of learning this process is blood extraction. Therefore it is important to know how to work with needles of different sizes.

 

Entry Requirements:
English Language at B2 (CEFR) level or above

 

Record Keeping
It is important to keep a medical record of the patients at all times. This is for the doctors to study later onwards during the procedure or after it.

 

Medical safety
An important thing to learn to carry out all procedures is the basic safety rules. This is important so that no process goes wrong. It also ensures that the patient is not manhandled.

In order to know when and where to take a blood from for what purpose; it is crucial to fully understand the human anatomy.

 

Patient Rapport
A common thing that every medical professional is taught from day one is how to build patient rapport. This is very crucial to win the trust of the patients to initiate the procedure.
